Why Donate or Help Roll The Dice?

As a not-for-profit C.I.C., our focus is on improving the social, emotional and mental health of the children, young people and adults we work with. By choosing to donate or to help us, you are helping to improve the social skills, emotional literacy and mental health of those people.

Physical Donations

We are always grateful for those who are able to donate. Anyone can donate, and we try to make it as easy as possible! If you are able to donate physical products, it will allow us to continue to offer our children's club for free, whilst also being able to subsidise the adult's club, boardgaming and role playing.

What you could donate:

Models

Models are the heart of a lot of our donations. These models allow us to run painting competitions, put together club armies that anyone can use and allow us to give out prizes for children who win games. Donations of models also may make their way into our Tuck Shop, allowing us to replenish consumables, help children consider the financial planning aspect that goes into a hobby, and support out families with more affordable access to miniatures.

Hobby tools

Paint, brushes, clippers, paint palettes, hobby lights, painting handles...these are all things which allow the children to get a broader and richer experience of the hobby. These are also elements that they may not have the opportunity to purchase themselves, so having these available for them to use within the sessions means that they are not restricted financially.

Terrain, mats, scenics

Nothing brings true immersion like having a well laid out battlefield. From neoprene battle mats to ruined buildings, broken walls and scattered debris, the look of the table is important when thinking about the emerging narrative of gaming.

Basing materials (sand, tufts, flowers, rocks etc) also add to the 'realism' of the miniatures, helping to add to the immersion.

Monetary Donations

It is an unfortunate fact of life that money is an integral part of everything. Roll The Dice is a completely non-profit organisation, with no staff on payroll. We are all volunteers, giving our time to improve the social, emotional and mental wellbeing of children in our area through the medium of in-person gaming.

Monetary donations allow us to expand what we are able to offer for free, as well as allowing us to explore new avenues through which we can support the community.

If you wish to contribute a monetary donation to Roll The Dice, please get in contact with us.
